Jody PrickettFire Chief - Jody Prickett

Chief Prickett came to the City of Helen in 2015. He comes to Helen with over fourteen years of firefighting experience. He began his career with the Hall County Fire Department in 2001 and served there for thirteen years before transferring to the White County Fire Department in 2014.

Chief Prickett currently holds state certifications as a Firefighter 2, HazMat Operations, and multiple Certificates through other departments, Apparatus Operator, Vehicle Extrication, Fire & Life Safety Educator, etc. and National Certified Emergency Medical Technician Intermediate. He maintains over 2,000 training hours and is credentialed through the State of Georgia’s Fire Academy.

New to the city, Chief Prickett has played an instrumental role in providing twenty-four hour fire coverage to the City of Helen and is dedicated to serving the city and strives to bring public awareness of fire safety to its vendors, residents and visitors.
